El-Tahdam Exploration Limited has congratulated the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, on the 20th anniversary of his coronation, praising his efforts to promote interfaith dialogue and peaceful coexistence in Nigeria.
In a statement signed by its Director of Operations, Mallam Abdulhakim Nuhu, the company said the Sultan had used his position over the past two decades to bring people of different faiths and backgrounds into dialogue, particularly in times of tension.
El-Tahdam commended the monarch’s appeals for restraint and mutual respect. It also praised his work with traditional rulers, religious leaders and public institutions to address concerns affecting communities across the country.
Sa’ad Abubakar ascended the throne in November 2006 and also serves as President-General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs. The company said his leadership in both capacities had encouraged communities to keep talking through disagreements and seek peaceful resolutions.
The company’s board, management and staff extended their congratulations to the Sultanate Council and the government and people of Sokoto State. They prayed that Almighty Allah would grant the Sultan continued good health, wisdom and strength to serve the Sultanate and the nation.
