Wike Unveils 80 Campaign Buses Ahead Of Tinubu’s Rivers Visit

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has unveiled at least 80 campaign buses for candidates of the Rainbow Coalition in Rivers State ahead of President Bola Tinubu’s scheduled visit.

Wike’s media aide, Lere Olayinka, disclosed that the buses were provided for the campaign teams and coordinators of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In a post on his official Facebook page on Friday, Olayinka said the vehicles were driven through major streets of Port Harcourt before proceeding to a stadium.

He described the roadshow as an effort to create awareness and build excitement ahead of Tinubu’s visit, with campaign supporters taking the rally message to different parts of the city.

President Tinubu is expected to visit Rivers State on Saturday for a campaign rally ahead of the January 16 presidential election.

However, the planned visit has drawn criticism from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the state, which said residents had not forgotten the state of emergency declared by the President during the political crisis in Rivers State.
