The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has appointed Kubiangha Ekeng Ita as the new State Coordinator for Osun State, replacing Agbor Ndoma Obim.
Ita, the 16th coordinator to serve in the state, formally assumed office on Friday during a handover ceremony at the NYSC State Secretariat in Osogbo.
Speaking at the event, Obim described his tenure as rewarding and urged officers and staff to extend their full cooperation to the new coordinator in the interest of professionalism and unity.
In his acceptance remarks, Ita commended his predecessor for his contributions to the scheme and called on staff to uphold integrity, accountability and diligence in the discharge of their duties.
He cautioned against extortion and any conduct capable of undermining the image of the NYSC, stressing the need to maintain public trust in the scheme.
Ita also pledged to prioritise staff development, mentoring and teamwork, saying these measures would help sustain Osun State’s strong reputation within the NYSC system.
