Former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Professor Isa Ali Pantami, has dismissed reports claiming he plans to marry former First Lady, Aisha Buhari, describing them as false and baseless.

The rumour spread widely on social media after a purported wedding invitation card circulated online, suggesting that Pantami and the widow of former President Muhammadu Buhari were set to wed.

However, the invitation contained no wedding date or verifiable details, raising doubts about its authenticity.

Speaking in an interview with PRNigeria, Pantami said he was shocked by the claims, stressing that the late President Buhari was a father figure to him.

“Aisha Buhari is a mother to us. It is disturbing that such a story could be fabricated,” he said.

“President Buhari was like a father to us, and his wife is regarded as a mother. Such a claim is not only false but completely impossible,” Pantami added.

He urged members of the public to disregard the rumour and cautioned against the spread of misinformation on social media platforms.
