
The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for appointing the Etsu Tsaragi, Alhaji Aliyu Abdullahi Kpotwa Goshi II, as Ameerul-Hajj for 2026.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Dr. Abdulazeez Arowona, the Emir thanked the governor for what he described as continued confidence in the traditional institution as a key stakeholder in the state’s growth, development and peace.
Sulu-Gambari expressed confidence in the ability of the Etsu Tsaragi to lead Kwara’s delegation to Saudi Arabia and ensure smooth Hajj operations.
He said the appointment reflects the administration’s recognition of the role of traditional rulers in fostering unity and supporting government initiatives.
On behalf of members of the Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, the Emir welcomed the development and prayed for wisdom, strength and guidance for the new Ameerul-Hajj in the discharge of his duties.
