Saraki Hosts Ilorin East Leaders, Urges Voter Mobilisation

Former Senate President Bukola Saraki on Monday hosted party leaders and supporters from Ilorin East Local Government Area at his residence in Ilorin, urging renewed grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections.

The meeting, held during Ramadan, formed part of Saraki’s outreach activities and focused on strengthening party structures and encouraging participation in the ongoing voter registration exercise.

According to his Press Officer on Local Matters, Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir, ward representatives briefed Saraki on political activities across Ilorin East and reaffirmed their commitment to the party’s growth.

Addressing the gathering, Saraki stressed the importance of organisation and voter registration as key determinants of future electoral success. He described the ongoing exercise by the Independent National Electoral Commission as critical to the party’s prospects.

“Our structure in Ilorin East, and indeed across the state, is strong and time-tested, but strength must always be matched with vigilance,” he said. “Organisation, mobilisation, and ensuring that our supporters are duly registered must remain our collective focus.”

Ward representatives assured him that members in their areas remained united and prepared for the next election cycle.

The meeting concluded with the Magrib prayer at a nearby mosque, followed by Iftar at Saraki’s residence. Participants also observed the Ishai and Taraweeh prayers, marking the end of the Ramadan engagement.
