
The Zonal Director of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ilorin Directorate, ACE I Victoria Ugo-Ali, on Tuesday paid a courtesy visit to the Commissioner of Police, Kwara State Command, CP Adekimi Ojo, to reinforce inter-agency collaboration against financial crimes.
The meeting, held at the police headquarters in Ilorin, was part of efforts to familiarise the new zonal director with the state’s police leadership and strengthen cooperation between the two agencies.
Ugo-Ali described the Nigeria Police as a strategic partner in the anti-corruption campaign, noting that the EFCC’s effectiveness relies heavily on synergy with the police, whom she called the foundation of law enforcement operations in the country.
She identified intelligence sharing, joint investigations and coordinated enforcement as key areas requiring closer collaboration to enhance operational efficiency.
Responding, CP Ojo welcomed the visit and commended the EFCC’s efforts in tackling corruption and economic crimes. He assured the commission of the command’s continued support in advancing their shared mandate.
The police commissioner reaffirmed his commitment to sustaining a strong working relationship aimed at promoting accountability and strengthening law enforcement in Kwara State.
