Ambassador Abdulfatai Yahaya Seriki Gambari has declared his intention to contest the 2027 governorship election in Kwara State under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In a statement announcing his ambition, Seriki Gambari said his decision was driven by a commitment to promote unity, fairness and inclusive governance across the state.

He pledged to serve all residents without discrimination based on ethnicity, religion or social status, stressing that leadership must be accessible and responsive to the needs of the people.

“My ambition is rooted in a sincere desire to promote unity, fairness and inclusive governance that will uplift every community,” he said.

The aspirant also promised to respect the will of the electorate and maintain open channels of communication with citizens, including those at the grassroots.

Seriki Gambari said his vision for Kwara prioritises development, peace and shared prosperity, adding that he is prepared to offer what he described as people-centred leadership ahead of the 2027 polls.
