The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists,NAWOJ Kwara State chapter, will hold its 2026 Ramadan symposium on Saturday, March 7, in Ilorin.

According to a statement issued by the association’s Secretary, Mariam Abdulkadir-Yusuf, and signed by the Chairperson, Bashirat Ayantola, the event will take place at the Nigeria Union of Journalists Secretariat, opposite St Anthony Secondary School on Offa Road, starting at 10 a.m.

The symposium is themed “Women in Media: Strengthening Ethical Leadership Through Faith and Professionalism.”

Guest lecturers expected at the event include the Dean of the Faculty of Information and Communication Sciences at University of Ilorin, Saudat Sallah AbdulBaqi, and Habibat Otuyo.

The association said members of various Asalatu groups, non-governmental organisations, NAWOJ members and the Muslim community are expected to attend the programme.
