Mbappé, Bellingham Among Stars Facing Champions League Suspension Risk

Several key players from Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Arsenal and Sporting CP risk suspension ahead of Tuesday’s UEFA Champions League quarter-final second-leg fixtures, with another booking set to rule them out of the semi-final first leg if their teams progress.

The players are currently one yellow card away from suspension, meaning any caution in today’s matches would automatically sideline them for the next round’s opening semi-final fixture.

Among the high-profile names at risk are Kylian Mbappé, Jude Bellingham and Manuel Neuer, all of whom could miss crucial matches if booked again.

Arsenal’s Christian Nørgaard and Martín Zubimendi are also on the caution list and face suspension should they receive another yellow card.

Sporting CP midfielder Luis Suárez is similarly at risk of missing the semi-final first leg if cautioned in the decisive tie.

Bayern Munich could be affected by multiple suspensions, with goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, defenders Jonathan Tah and Dayot Upamecano, and midfielder Konrad Laimer all walking a disciplinary tightrope.

Real Madrid face the possibility of several absences, with Jude Bellingham, Álvaro Carreras, Dean Huijsen, Kylian Mbappé, Rodrygo and Vinícius Júnior all one booking away from suspension.

With places in the semi-finals at stake, managers will be closely monitoring discipline as teams balance the need for intensity with the risk of losing key players for the next stage of Europe’s elite club competition.
