The Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union has welcomed the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CON, following his return from a two-month annual vacation in Turkey.

In a statement, the National President of the union, Alhaji Abdulmumini Ayo Abdulmalik, described the monarch’s return to Ilorin as a positive development, noting that residents of the emirate were delighted to have him back.

He expressed optimism that the Emir had returned rejuvenated and ready to continue his contributions to peace, unity, and development within the emirate and beyond.

Abdulmalik praised the Emir’s leadership, describing him as a “special blessing” and noting that his reign has marked a significant turning point in the history of the Ilorin Emirate and Kwara State.

The IEDPU president, a retired Assistant Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service, reaffirmed the union’s commitment to supporting the Emir’s vision of leaving the emirate better than he met it.

He also offered prayers for the monarch’s continued good health and long reign on the throne of his forebears.
