The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Mai-Martaba Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has congratulated the Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board over the successful airlift of intending pilgrims to Saudi Arabia.
In a statement issued through his spokesman, Dr. Abdulazeez Arowona, the Emir described the exercise as smooth and commendable, expressing satisfaction with the organisation of the operation.
He prayed for the safety, good health, and comfort of all pilgrims throughout their stay in the Holy Land.
Alhaji Sulu-Gambari also reflected on the significance of Hajj, noting that it remains a unifying pillar of Islam that brings together Muslims from diverse backgrounds in worship and devotion.
According to him, the pilgrimage reinforces faith, patience, and commitment to the teachings of Islam, even amid global challenges.
He urged the Kwara State contingents to use the opportunity to offer prayers for peace and stability in the state and across Nigeria.
The Emir also commended the 2026 Amirul Hajj and Etsu Tsaragi, Alhaji Aliyu Abdullahi Kpotwa, for what he described as effective leadership and coordination that contributed to the smooth conduct of the exercise.
