National Business and Technical Examinations Board has announced May 31 and May 24, 2026, as the deadlines for registration for the 2026 May/June In-School Certificate Examinations and the National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE), respectively.
The Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of the board, Mohammed Aminu Mohammed, disclosed this in a statement issued through the board’s Assistant Director of Media and Protocol, Uchechukwu Olisah.
Mohammed said registration for both examinations is ongoing nationwide and has been simplified through designated online platforms to ensure a seamless process for schools and candidates.
According to him, schools registering candidates for the May/June In-School examinations are required to obtain registration slots through NABTEB state offices, capture candidates’ data using the board’s biometric software and complete the process through the official portal.
He added that schools are expected to obtain login details from state offices, make payments and complete registration through the school registration portal.
For candidates seeking admission through the National Common Entrance Examination, Mohammed explained that Personal Identification Numbers can be obtained through state offices before completing registration online.
He noted that candidates may also independently create accounts and register online, while schools can facilitate bulk registration for students.
The NABTEB registrar urged schools, parents, guardians and prospective candidates to complete all registration procedures before the deadlines to avoid last-minute difficulties.
He also advised candidates and school authorities to ensure accurate submission of data and strict compliance with registration guidelines, adding that the board remains committed to improving examination administration through technology-driven services.
