The National Sports Commission (NSC) and the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have established a welfare committee for the Super Falcons ahead of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
The committee is tasked with ensuring a smooth and successful campaign for the Nigerian women’s national team during the tournament.
NFF Executive Board member Aisha Falode will serve as chairperson of the committee, while Ruth David has been appointed secretary.
Other members include Rt. Hon. Margaret Icheen, Babagana Kalli, Emeka Iyama, Aderonke Tinuoye, and former Super Falcons media officer Tobechukwu Oluchi.
Nigeria has been drawn in Group C of the competition alongside Malawi, Zambia, and Egypt.
The Super Falcons, coached by Justine Madugu, will begin their campaign against tournament debutants Malawi at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca on July 28.
The 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations will take place in Morocco from July 26 to August 16.
The tournament will also serve as a qualifier for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup, with the four semi-finalists earning Africa’s slots at the global competition.
