The Muslim congregation of Hafsat Yahaya Oloriegbe Memorial Central Mosque, Okolowo, Ilorin, has congratulated Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Dasuki Imam Fulani on his turbaning as the 13th Chief Imam of Ilorin Emirate.

In a congratulatory message, the mosque described the appointment as a historic event, noting that it is the first of its kind in the community in over four decades.

The statement said the ceremony, held on Wednesday, formally marked the beginning of a sacred responsibility entrusted to a scholar whose life has been dedicated to the service of Islam, propagation of knowledge, and guidance of the faithful.

“We pray that Almighty Allah grants him the wisdom, strength, patience, and sound health required to discharge the enormous responsibilities of this revered office,” the statement added.

The congregation also congratulated His Royal Highness, the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, the Ilorin Emirate Council, the Council of Ulama, and the entire people of Ilorin Emirate on the successful and peaceful transition.

It described the smooth installation as a testament to the unity, tradition, and continuity of the Ilorin Emirate.
