The Chairman of Haliassan Travel Consultants, Alhaji Ayinde Hassan, has congratulated the Director-General of the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS), Professor Abubakar Suleiman, on his seventh anniversary in office.

In a statement issued on Friday, Hassan described Prof. Suleiman as “a visionary leader, scholar and public servant” whose commitment to democratic governance and national development has continued to make a significant impact.

He said the management and staff of Haliassan Travel Consultants joined family, friends and well-wishers across the country in celebrating the milestone, noting that the NILDS Director-General’s leadership had strengthened the institute’s role in legislative research and democratic development.

“Your seven years of dedicated service, scholarship and leadership have repositioned NILDS as a leading institution for legislative research and democratic development. We pray that Almighty Allah grants you sound health, wisdom and greater strength to continue your invaluable contributions to the nation,” the statement read.

Hassan also commended Prof. Suleiman for the progress recorded by the institute during his tenure, particularly in capacity building, policy support for the National Assembly and efforts aimed at strengthening democratic governance in Nigeria.

He wished the NILDS Director-General continued success, expressing hope that his administration would achieve even greater milestones in the years ahead.

Professor Abubakar Suleiman assumed office as Director-General of NILDS seven years ago and is widely recognised for initiatives aimed at enhancing legislative studies, governance research and institutional support for democratic processes in Nigeria.
