Paul Ibe, spokesperson to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has claimed that United States President Donald Trump has been informed about court documents relating to President Bola Tinubu’s alleged past legal records in the United States.

In a post on his X account on Wednesday, Ibe alleged that a 60-page US Department of Justice file concerning allegations of heroin trafficking and the forfeiture of $460,000 involving Tinubu had been brought to Trump’s attention through a US lobbying firm, Batten Von.

According to Ibe, Nigerians deserve to know the full details of the matter.

“Finally, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 60-page DOJ files on heroin trafficking and forfeiture of $460,000 have been brought to the attention of Donald Trump courtesy of a US lobbyist firm, Batten Von. Nigerians deserve to know the whole truth and nothing but the truth. The best is being saved for last,” he wrote.

Ibe, however, did not provide evidence to support his claim that Trump had been briefed on the documents. He also did not indicate whether any action had been taken by the US president or any American authority in relation to the alleged records.

Neither the Presidency nor the US authorities had responded to the claims as of the time of filing this report.
