
The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman, Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, His Royal Highness, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, has congratulated four legal practitioners from Ilorin Emirate who were elevated to the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN.
In a statement issued by his spokesman, Dr. Abdulazeez Arowona, the Emir described the elevation as a testament to their hard work, diligence, and commitment to the legal profession.
The newly confirmed SAN-designates of Ilorin Emirate origin in the 2026 list released by the Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee, LPPC, are:
1. Barr. Sulyman Ibrahim, SAN – Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Kwara State
2. Barr. Mas’ud Alabelewe, SAN
3. Barr. Mohammed Adelodun, SAN
4. Barr. Afeez Hassan Adebayo SAN
His Royal Majesty noted that the rank of SAN is the highest mark of professional excellence conferred on legal practitioners who have distinguished themselves as advocates in the courts.
He urged the new Senior Advocates to continue to uphold the ethics, integrity, and standards of the profession, and to serve as role models for younger lawyers.
“On behalf of the Ilorin Emirate and the entire people of Kwara State, I rejoice with these legal luminaries on this well-deserved elevation. May Almighty Allah grant them more wisdom to continue contributing to justice delivery and national development,” the Emir prayed.
He also commended the Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee for recognizing excellence and for finding the sons of Ilorin Emirate worthy of the prestigious elevation.
The monarch prayed that Almighty Allah grants the new Senior Advocates of Nigeria His guidance, protection and success in their new status, to the benefit of the nation and humanity at large.
