Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi has said Nigeria will push for victory in their Africa Cup of Nations semi-final clash against hosts Morocco.

Nigeria have been one of the standout teams at the 2025 AFCON, recording five wins from five matches and scoring a tournament-high 14 goals under head coach Éric Chelle.

Speaking to reporters in Rabat on Tuesday, Iwobi said the team would approach the semi-final with the same mindset that has driven their impressive run.

“We are coming into the semi-final against the host Morocco with the same mentality we’ve had in previous games,” Iwobi said.

“We hope to achieve the same results we’ve been getting, having won our last five matches,” he added.

The highly anticipated encounter is scheduled for Wednesday at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.

Kick-off is set for 9:00 p.m. Nigerian time.
