Super Falcons Open 2026 WAFCON Camp February 20

Nigeria’s Super Falcons will open their training camp for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) on Friday, February 20.

The team, led by head coach Justine Madugu, will begin preparations in Abuja before travelling to Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, for the WAFU B invitational tournament.

The WAFU B tournament, scheduled to run from February 27 to March 7, will also feature Ghana and Senegal.

As defending African champions, the Super Falcons are expected to play additional friendly matches ahead of the WAFCON 2026 finals as part of their build-up.

The 2026 WAFCON will double as Africa’s qualifying tournament for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup to be hosted by Brazil.

Africa will be represented at the World Cup by the four semi-finalists from the WAFCON tournament.

Nigeria have been drawn in Group C of the competition alongside Zambia, Egypt and Malawi.
