Tsoho to Appear Before CCB Over Asset Allegations

The Chief Judge of the Federal High Court of Nigeria, Justice John Terhemba Tsoho, has confirmed he was invited by the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) over allegations of undeclared bank accounts and discrepancies in his age declaration.

In a statement issued Monday by the court’s Director of Information, Dr. Catherine Oby Christopher, Justice Tsoho said he is currently outside the country for medical treatment but is prepared to appear before the Bureau from March 16, 2026.

The statement said the Chief Judge would be accompanied by his lawyer, Chief Kanu Agabi, SAN, when he returns to Nigeria to respond to the allegations.

“The Honourable Chief Judge remains fully committed to cooperating with the Code of Conduct Bureau in respect of its invitation,” the statement said. It added that his legal representative has indicated readiness to accompany him to the Bureau upon his return.

According to the court, the CCB has been informed that any date within the week beginning March 16 is convenient for the Chief Judge and his counsel.

The statement described this as Justice Tsoho’s first official response to the allegations and reiterated his commitment to due process, transparency and the rule of law.
