Drone footage has captured the moment an Iranian drone struck the terminal building of Nakhchivan International Airport, sending debris into the air and damaging part of the structure.

According to the BBC, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan confirmed on Thursday that Iranian drones targeted locations within the country.

Officials said one drone hit the airport terminal, while another landed near a school in Shekarabad village. Authorities reported that two civilians were injured in the incidents.

Video released after the strike shows the moment of impact at the airport, with debris scattering as part of the terminal building sustained visible damage.

Following the drone landing near the school, local educational facilities in the area were evacuated as a precaution, officials said.

The Azerbaijani government condemned the attack and summoned Iran’s ambassador to lodge a formal protest. Troops were also placed on high alert along the border with Iran.
