
The Lagos State Police Command has deployed personnel and operational resources across strategic locations in the state to ensure safety during the Easter celebrations.
In a statement issued on Friday by the Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Adebisi, the command said the Commissioner of Police, Tijani Fatai, ordered increased security presence at worship centres, recreational facilities, major highways, transport hubs, and other critical public infrastructure.
The command also said special security arrangements had been made for riverine communities, with the Marine Police intensifying surveillance and patrol operations along waterways to deter criminal activities.
According to the statement, the police are working with relevant agencies to manage traffic flow and ensure smooth vehicular movement across the state throughout the festive period.
Fatai extended Easter greetings to Christian faithful and urged residents to reflect on the values of love, sacrifice, and peaceful coexistence associated with the season.
He also reassured residents of the command’s commitment to protecting lives and property during the celebrations and beyond.
The police advised members of the public to remain vigilant and promptly report suspicious persons or activities to security agencies.

The command wished Christians in the state a peaceful and safe Easter celebration.
