
Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have arrested a suspected logistics courier for Boko Haram/ISWAP in Monguno Local Government Area of Borno State.
Security analyst for the Lake Chad region, Zagazola Makama, disclosed the development in a post on X, saying the suspect was intercepted on April 20 at about 6:20 p.m. in Monguno town.
The suspect, identified as Chari Kura from Gajiram in Nganzai LGA, was reportedly arrested at a location known as Charlie 19 after intelligence indicated he was transporting logistics supplies to insurgents in Bindur village, Kukawa Local Government Area.
Items recovered from him included 180 mosquito coils, 12 packs of Jolly Jus, an Itel mobile phone, and ₦500.
Makama said the suspect is currently in military custody under Sector 3 for interrogation and further investigation.
Military authorities described the arrest as part of ongoing operations aimed at disrupting insurgent supply networks and cutting off logistics support to terrorist groups operating in the region.
