APC Leaders Storm Ekiti for Oyebanji Re-Election Campaign Flag-Off

Governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), alongside members of the party’s National Working Committee and federal lawmakers, are expected in Ekiti State on Monday for the official flag-off of Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s re-election campaign.

The event, ahead of the June 20 governorship election, is set to draw top political figures from across the country, signalling strong party backing for the incumbent governor.

According to the campaign council, the APC National Chairman, Nentawe Yilwatda, will lead members of the National Working Committee to the state.

Also expected is the Chairman of the Progressives Governors’ Forum and Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, who will be accompanied by fellow APC governors nationwide.

The rally is anticipated to attract principal officers of the National Assembly, including senators and members of the House of Representatives, as well as former Ekiti governors, party elders, youth and women leaders, and stakeholders from all 16 local government areas.

Director-General of the campaign, Cyril Fasuyi, described the flag-off as more than a routine political event, saying it would serve as a demonstration of unity and public support for the Oyebanji administration.

Organisers say the mobilisation reflects months of endorsements and what supporters describe as progress across key sectors under the current government.

The campaign launch is expected to formally kick-start political activities in the state as parties intensify preparations for the upcoming governorship poll.
