The Nigerian Senate has confirmed Joseph Tegbe as Minister of Power and Sola Enikanolaiye as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.
The confirmation came 24 hours after Bola Tinubu forwarded their nominations to the Senate for consideration.
The request was conveyed in a letter read during plenary by Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
Both nominees were subsequently screened by lawmakers in accordance with constitutional provisions before being approved.
Tegbe’s nomination follows the resignation of former Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, who stepped down to pursue elective office.
Enikanolaiye was appointed to serve as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs after Odumegwu-Ojukwu assumed office as Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Prior to his nomination, Enikanolaiye served as Senior Special Assistant to the President on Foreign Affairs and International Relations.
