Kano APC Begins Screening Assembly Aspirants

The All Progressives Congress in Kano State has commenced the screening of aspirants seeking the party’s tickets to contest seats in the Kano State House of Assembly ahead of its primary elections.

The development was disclosed in a statement issued from the office of the APC State Organising Secretary and shared by Yusuf Yahuza on Facebook on May 11, 2026.

According to the statement, the screening exercise began on Monday as part of the party’s preparations for the upcoming primaries.

The APC said the process reflects its commitment to transparency, fairness, and internal democracy in selecting candidates for various constituencies across the state.

The party added that it remains focused on producing credible and competent leaders capable of strengthening legislative development and democratic governance in Kano State.

It also appealed to aspirants and supporters to remain peaceful, united, and law-abiding throughout the primary election process.

The party further urged all stakeholders to demonstrate sportsmanship and support efforts aimed at ensuring a smooth and credible exercise.
