
….Applauds Emir of Ilorin’s Transparent Selection Process
Former Senate President and Waziri Ngeri of Ilorin Emirate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has congratulated Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Dasuki Imam Fulani on his appointment as the Chief Imam Fulani of Ilorin Emirate by the Emir of Ilorin, His Royal Highness Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR.
According to his Press Officer on Local Matters, Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir, Saraki described the appointment as a well-deserved recognition of Sheikh Dasuki’s profound Islamic scholarship, exemplary character, dedication to the propagation of Islam, and years of selfless service to the Muslim community within and beyond the Ilorin Emirate.
Saraki also commended the Emir of Ilorin for the painstaking and transparent process that culminated in the emergence of Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Dasuki, expressing confidence that the new Chief Imam Fulani possesses the knowledge, wisdom, humility, and leadership qualities required to advance the spiritual growth and unity of the Muslim Ummah.
The Waziri Ngeri of Ilorin Emirate noted that the new Chief Imam comes from a distinguished lineage of renowned Islamic scholars and spiritual leaders, a heritage that has continued to contribute immensely to the development of Islamic education and religious guidance in the Emirate.
He prayed Almighty Allah to grant Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Dasuki abundant wisdom, sound health, strength, and divine guidance in the discharge of his responsibilities, and to make his tenure beneficial to Islam, the Ilorin Emirate, and humanity at large.
Saraki also prayed for continued peace, unity, progress, and prosperity in the Ilorin Emirate under the leadership of the Emir of Ilorin.
