Former Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate Thelma Lawson has revealed why she turned down fellow contestant Rooboy’s romantic advances during their time on the reality show.

Speaking during the final episode of the show’s reunion, aired on Friday night, Thelma said her decision was influenced by the type of role model she wants around her son.

According to her, Rooboy’s lifestyle and personal image did not align with her expectations for a potential partner.

“Rooboy could not even spell correctly. I do not want him around my son. He is too loud and his tattoos are not the lifestyle that I want. We can be friends, just friends,” she said.

Thelma also claimed that Rooboy did not take the rejection well and later began portraying her as a bitter person.

Rooboy, however, acknowledged that he had expressed interest in dating Thelma but denied being upset by her decision.

He instead accused fellow housemate Otega of betraying his trust for personal gain.

“I told Thelma that I liked her and would like to date her. I was talking to Otega as a brother, not knowing he was also in the picture,” Rooboy said.
