Osun State Governor and Accord Party governorship candidate, Ademola Adeleke, has won his first polling unit in Saturday’s governorship election.

Officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission declared the Accord Party the winner at Polling Unit 026, Ward 5, Osogbo Local Government Area.

Accord secured 57 votes at the polling unit, while the All Progressives Congress polled 43 votes.

Results from other polling units across the state have continued to emerge as the collation process gets underway.

The election has been largely peaceful in several parts of the state, although there have been reports of voter intimidation, vote-buying and other forms of electoral violence.

INEC is expected to continue the collation of results from polling units, wards and local government areas before declaring the final outcome.
