The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has uploaded results from over 25% of polling units in the Osun State governorship election to its Result Viewing Portal, IReV.
Voting in the election closed at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Shortly after, INEC began uploading results from polling units across the state.
As of the time of this report, results from 1,011 out of 3,763 polling units had been uploaded. This represents 26.87% of the total polling units in Osun.
The upload marks the beginning of electronic transmission and public viewing of results from the election.
The IReV portal allows the public, political parties and other stakeholders to view scanned copies of polling unit results in real time, in line with INEC’s commitment to transparency in the electoral process.
Collation of results is ongoing at the ward, local government and state levels.
The Osun 2026 governorship election was held across the 30 local government areas of the state with heavy security presence reported in major towns including Osogbo, Ede and Ilesa.
