The Independent National Electoral Commission has begun the collation and announcement of results from Saturday’s Osun State governorship election.
The exercise started at the state collation centre after voting ended across the state’s 30 local government areas. Prof. Joshua Ogunwole, Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, is the State Returning Officer.
Results announced so far show a strong performance by the incumbent, Ademola Adeleke of the African Democratic Congress, in several local government areas, while the All Progressives Congress has also recorded significant victories.
