
President Bola Tinubu has received the Secretary-General of the Muslim World League and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Dr Mohammed Al-Issa, at the State House in Abuja.
The meeting was part of Al-Issa’s visit to Nigeria, during which he participated in an International Interfaith Conference on Security organised by the Muslim World League in collaboration with JIBWIS Nigeria.
During the visit, Al-Issa briefed Tinubu on the Muslim World League’s activities in Nigeria, including a professional empowerment programme launched in Abuja.
He also informed the President of plans to establish a cardiac centre in Kaduna State as part of the organisation’s humanitarian interventions.
Tinubu thanked Al-Issa for the Muslim World League’s efforts to promote peaceful coexistence and strengthen interfaith understanding in Nigeria.
The President also commended the organisation’s humanitarian initiatives and its contribution to addressing social and development needs in the country.
