The Ilaro Muslim Community is mourning the passing of one of its respected and well-known members, Alhaji Hassan Taiwo, popularly known as ‘Ogogo’.

In an announcement signed by the Chief Imam of Ilaro on Sunday, the community conveyed the sad news and made arrangements for his final rites known to the public.

The statement opened with the Islamic expression of grief:
“Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un” “Indeed, to Allah we belong and to Him we shall return.”

According to the announcement, the Janazah prayer for the late Alhaji Hassan Taiwo will hold *tomorrow at 10:00 AM.

The burial will take place immediately after at the Asade Agunloye Pavilion Ground, Ilaro, where family, friends, clerics, and well-wishers are expected to gather to pay their last respects.

Alhaji Hassan Taiwo ‘Ogogo’ was described by members of the community as a humble, generous, and devout Muslim who was loved by many within and outside Ilaro.

His contributions to the growth of the Muslim community and his warm relationship with residents made him a household name in the area.

The Chief Imam, while announcing the burial, prayed for the repose of the deceased’s soul.

“May Allah forgive his shortcomings, accept his good deeds, and grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus. Ameen,” the statement read.

Community members have been urged to come out in large numbers to join the prayer and support the bereaved family during this difficult period.
