JAMB Introduces Home-Based O’Level Result Verification

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has introduced a new system allowing candidates for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination to verify and upload their O’Level results from home.

The service currently covers results issued by the West African Examinations Council, enabling candidates to complete the process without repeated visits to Computer-Based Test centres.

Under the new arrangement, candidates can use the JAMB e-Facility platform to verify their results after obtaining a verification code. JAMB will then confirm the result directly with the relevant examination body before updating the candidate’s profile.

To access the service, candidates are required to provide their National Identification Number, obtain a verification code and make the prescribed payment.

Candidates can also use the SMS option by sending “VERIFY” followed by their verification code to 55019 or 66019.

JAMB said the technology-driven process was introduced to make result verification faster, safer and more convenient, particularly during periods of high demand.

The Board said the initiative would reduce queues at CBT centres, minimise errors associated with manual data entry and limit disruptions caused by network problems at examination centres.

JAMB is expected to extend the direct verification and upload system to results from other examination bodies in the future.
