Cole Palmer produced a standout performance as Chelsea defeated Fulham 3-2 at Craven Cottage in Xabi Alonso’s first Premier League match as the club’s manager.

The 24-year-old midfielder scored Chelsea’s third goal with a composed finish after nutmegging Fulham goalkeeper Bernd Leno and also created several chances during an impressive attacking display.

Palmer played a key role in Chelsea’s victory, helping set up opportunities for João Pedro and new signing Morgan Rogers, who both found the back of the net.

Following the match, a video of Palmer’s off-season training circulated on social media, with fans pointing out that he replicated several of the skills and finishes he had practised during the summer.
