
A man has died following a fight at Kulande Market in the Sango area of Ilorin, Kwara State, in an incident that has prompted a police investigation.
The altercation reportedly began as an argument between Malam Tsalha Muhammad and another man identified as Lawali, popularly known as “Black.”
According to Emirate Radio correspondent Maryam Haruna Muhammad, an eyewitness said the argument escalated into a physical fight during which the suspect allegedly stabbed Tsalha with a knife.
The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital in the Sango area, where he was confirmed dead.
Tsalha, believed to be in his 40s, is survived by three wives and 14 children.
The Nigeria Police Force has launched an investigation into the incident and is working to apprehend the suspect.
Authorities have also urged residents not to take the law into their own hands and to allow security agencies to handle criminal matters through due process.
