Chinese travel content creator Xiao Jony has advised tourists to exercise caution when visiting Nigeria after an encounter with men who allegedly demanded money from him at a local market.

Xiao Jony shared footage of the incident on social media while exploring the market and sampling local food and drinks during his visit to the country.

In the video, one of the men reportedly stopped the creator and demanded payment. Xiao Jony questioned the request before responding, “I’m a tourist. I pay the visa.”

The exchange subsequently became heated, with the parties trading insults.

Following the incident, Xiao Jony urged tourists visiting Nigeria to remain cautious and advised them to limit outings to daytime hours rather than travelling at night.

He concluded the video by saying, “Actually, it’s better not to come,” a remark that has since attracted attention online.
