Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, a Fulani socio-cultural organisation, has warned that it may withdraw its support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 elections if its national president, Bello Bodejo, is not released from the custody of the State Security Service (SSS).

The group made the position known during a press conference held at Bodejo’s residence in Uke, Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State. Fulani leaders from across the country attended the meeting.

The Nasarawa State chairman of the organisation, Akhajo Abubakar, said the group would support political leaders who demonstrate a genuine commitment to the welfare and development of the Fulani community.

“We did not vote for APC to arrest our leaders. Our votes this time will go to those who want our progress,” Abubakar said.

He also claimed that more than one million Fulani voters are in Nasarawa State, although he did not provide official figures or other evidence to substantiate the claim.

Bodejo is currently facing a money laundering case. A court had previously reduced the bail conditions attached to the case.

The group’s warning comes as political parties and interest groups begin positioning themselves ahead of the 2027 general elections.
