The Sarkin Gobir and Madawaki of Ilorin, Alhaji Yakubu Gobir, has felicitated Dr. Ishaq Modibbo Kawu on the occasion of his birthday.

In a congratulatory message, Gobir described Dr. Kawu as a distinguished journalist, broadcaster, intellectual and public affairs analyst whose contributions have enriched national discourse in Nigeria.

According to him, Dr. Kawu’s decades of service in journalism and broadcasting have made him one of Kwara State’s most respected voices.

“Dr. Modibbo Kawu has dedicated a large part of his life to public service. His depth of knowledge, firm convictions, and commitment to interrogating issues of national importance have secured for him a unique position in our national life,” Gobir stated.

He added that Dr. Kawu’s experience across various media institutions has given him wide insight into Nigeria’s political, social and media landscape.
