INEC Uploads 402 Osun Election Results on IReV Portal

The Independent National Electoral Commission has begun uploading results from Saturday’s Osun State governorship election to its Results Viewing Portal, IReV.

As of 4:03 p.m., 402 polling unit results had been uploaded out of 3,763 expected results, representing 10.68 per cent of the total.

Data on the portal showed that the latest result was uploaded at 4:03:10 p.m. from polling unit 29/02/04/006, as collation continued across the state’s 30 local government areas.

The election features incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party, who is seeking re-election, alongside All Progressives Congress candidate Bola Oyebamiji, African Democratic Congress candidate Najeem Salaam and other contenders.

The IReV platform allows voters, observers and other stakeholders to view polling unit-level results as they are uploaded by INEC, with the system designed to promote transparency in the electoral process.

The Result Stats section of the portal continued to update as new results were uploaded, allowing users to refresh the page for the latest figures.

With only a fraction of the expected results uploaded at the time of filing, INEC is expected to continue the process as collation progresses at the ward and local government levels.
