Nigerian rapper Ms Jorji has accused dancer and entertainer Iweh Pascal Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, of sexual misconduct during an alleged encounter in Dallas, Texas, in 2024.

The allegation comes amid reports concerning Poco Lee’s legal troubles and reported arrest in the United Kingdom.

Ms Jorji said she and a female friend visited Poco Lee’s apartment after he invited them. She said she was seeking mentorship and professional guidance as she worked to advance her music career.

According to the rapper, the encounter allegedly took an unexpected turn when Poco Lee made unwanted physical advances towards her and later towards her friend. She also alleged that he attempted to force her friend into a separate room.

Ms Jorji said she and her friend resisted the alleged advances and managed to leave the apartment. She said they then drove for several hours to return to their destination.

Explaining her decision to remain silent for about two years, the rapper said fear and intimidation prevented her from speaking publicly. She also said she was concerned that people would not believe her account because of Poco Lee’s prominence in the entertainment industry.

“Two years ago, Poco Lee tried to rape my friend and me; we ended up beating him and pushing him off,” she alleged.

Ms Jorji also alleged that sexual propositions in exchange for career opportunities were common in the music industry, claiming that she had encountered similar demands from others in the industry.

The allegations have not been independently verified, and Poco Lee’s response to the claims was not included in the report.
