Saudi Pro League club Al-Qadsiah have opened talks with FC Porto over the signing of Super Eagles left-back Zaidu Sanusi, according to reports.

Porto are said to be demanding €10 million for the Nigerian defender, who has one year remaining on his current contract.

Negotiations over a proposed two-year contract extension have reportedly stalled because both parties have been unable to agree on salary terms.

The Portuguese club are now willing to sell Sanusi this summer rather than risk losing him on a free transfer when his contract expires next year.

Sanusi joined Porto from Portuguese side Santa Clara in August 2020 and has since become a regular member of the club’s first team.

During his time with the Dragons, the 29-year-old has helped the club win eight domestic trophies and established himself as one of Porto’s key defenders.

Talks between the two clubs are ongoing as Al-Qadsiah seek to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.
