
The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, has congratulated distinguished legal practitioner and academic, Prof. Yusuf Olaolu Ali, SAN, Kuliya Ngeri of Ilorin Emirate, on his 70th birthday.
Sulu-Gambari described the milestone as a celebration of Prof. Ali’s decades of professional excellence, scholarship, philanthropy and service to humanity.
In a statement issued on Monday by his spokesman, Dr. Abdulazeez Arowona, the Emir said Prof. Ali had distinguished himself as one of Nigeria’s foremost lawyers, as well as an academic, mentor and community leader whose contributions had positively impacted lives across the country.
“At 70, Prof. Yusuf Olaolu Ali, SAN, stands tall as a shining example of integrity, hard work and dedication,” the Emir said.
He highlighted Prof. Ali’s contributions to the legal profession, education and the mentorship of young lawyers, as well as his philanthropic activities, saying they had brought honour to Ilorin Emirate and Nigeria.
Sulu-Gambari also commended the celebrant’s contributions to the advancement of justice, promotion of education and support for the less privileged.
According to the Emir, Prof. Ali’s commitment to these causes reflects the values and traditions of the Ilorin Emirate.
He prayed that Almighty Allah would grant the Kuliya Ngeri of Ilorin continued good health, wisdom and the strength to keep serving Allah, the Emirate and the nation.
