The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman, Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, His Royal Highness, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, has congratulated four illustrious sons of Ilorin Emirate on their elevation to the prestigious rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).

The conferment was done by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Hon. Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, GCON, on behalf of the Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee (LPPC), alongside other distinguished legal luminaries across the country.

The new SANs from Ilorin Emirate are:

1. Barr. Sulyman Senior Ibrahim – Hon. Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Kwara State
2. Barr. Afeez Hassan Adebayo
3. Barr. Mas’ud Alabelewe
4. Barr. Mohammed Adelodun

In a congratulatory message issued through his Spokesman, Dr. Abdulazeez Arowona, the Emir described the elevation of four sons of the Emirate in a single batch as historic and unprecedented.

According to him, the feat is a clear testament to Ilorin Emirate’s enduring legacy as a citadel of learning and legal excellence.

The Emir specially extolled the virtues of the Kwara State Attorney-General, describing his elevation as destiny fulfilled.

Alhaji Sulu-Gambari said, “It is destiny manifesting. He has always answered ‘Senior’ as his middle name, and today, the Chief Justice of Nigeria has crowned him as a Senior Advocate of Nigeria. His name predicted his rank. This is a well-deserved honour for a humble, brilliant and dedicated son of the Emirate who has served our dear state with integrity.”

The Monarch also felicitated Barr. Afeez Hassan Adebayo, Barr. Mas’ud Alabelewe and Barr. Mohammed Adelodun, commending their industry, brilliance and outstanding contributions to the legal profession.

He commended the Chief Justice of Nigeria and the LPPC for finding the sons of the Emirate worthy of the exalted rank.

The Emir prayed Almighty Allah to grant the new Senior Advocates wisdom, sound health and greater heights as they justify the rank in the service of justice, the rule of law and humanity.
