Ajax technical director Jordi Cruyff has indicated that the Dutch club will make Tolu Arokodare’s loan move permanent at the end of the season.
The Nigeria international joined Ajax on a season-long loan from English Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers this summer and has made an impressive start in Amsterdam.
The 25-year-old has scored 10 goals and provided three assists in 15 appearances across all competitions for the former European champions.
His loan agreement reportedly includes an option to buy worth almost €20 million.
Speaking to Ziggo Sport, Cruyff said the club had already agreed on the key details of a potential permanent transfer, including the striker’s salary.
“Everything has already been arranged. His salary too, although he did ask for a pay rise at the last press conference,” Cruyff said.
A permanent deal would see Ajax secure the services of the Nigerian striker beyond the current season.
