Former Nigeria striker Victor Ikpeba has praised Akor Adams for his impressive performances at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, describing the forward as a key asset to the Super Eagles attack.
Adams has been one of Nigeria’s standout players at the tournament, scoring two goals and providing two assists in five appearances.
Speaking to Bet9ja, Ikpeba highlighted the striker’s movement, work rate, and team-oriented approach as major strengths.
“I’ve been really impressed with Akor Adams, especially his movement and how unselfish he is,” Ikpeba said.
According to the former African Footballer of the Year, Adams’ displays point to a bright future at international level.
“He’s shown that he is the future. A lot of credit also goes to the manager for having faith in him and recognising his potential,” Ikpeba added.
Ikpeba further noted that Adams’ physical presence and technical ability make him a difficult opponent for defenders.
“He’s a big lad, not easy to play against. He’s quick with the ball and he strikes it very well,” he said.
