Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has expressed shock and sadness over the death of Mr. Layi Olarewaju, the Kwara State correspondent of Mr. Layi Olarewaju, .

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, the governor extended condolences to the Kwara State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), the Correspondents’ Chapel where Olarewaju once served as chairman, the management of The Sun, and the deceased’s immediate family.

Governor AbdulRazaq described Olarewaju as a veteran journalist and dedicated unionist whose legacy spans decades of professional reporting and commitment to the welfare of colleagues.

He prayed for God’s comfort for the bereaved family and for the repose of the late journalist’s soul.
