Former Arsenal captain, Thierry Henry has named Nigeria international Victor Osimhen among the strikers he believes Barcelona should target to strengthen their attack.

Osimhen, who currently plays for Galatasaray in Turkey after completing a permanent move last summer, helped the club secure a domestic double last season with key goals and performances.

The 27-year-old has continued his strong form this campaign, registering 15 goals and five assists in 23 appearances across all competitions.

Speaking to Sport, Henry said Barcelona need a proven number nine capable of converting chances consistently.

He listed Osimhen alongside Erling Haaland and Harry Kane as examples of “formidable scorers” the club should consider.

“Barcelona need a real number 9. A top-level striker,” Henry said. “I am referring to proven finishers, not prospects.”

He added that with creative talents like Lamine Yamal providing quality service, the team must capitalize on chances. “At this level, one opportunity is enough,” he noted.

Henry’s comments come amid ongoing discussions about Barcelona’s attacking options and potential transfer targets.

Osimhen remains one of Europe’s most sought-after strikers following his consistent goal-scoring record in recent seasons.
