No fewer than 10 traditional rulers have been elevated to first class status by the Kwara State Government.

EMIRATE RADIO 98.5 FM gathered that the development follows the approval of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

The newly elevated traditional rulers are; the Onijagbo of Ijagbo (Oyun),Onipe of Ipee (Oyun), Oloota of Odo – Owa (Oke Ero), Elekan of Ekan (Oke Ero) and Olojoku of Ojoku (Oyun), Oloro of Oro (irepodun).

others are; Owalobo of Obbo – Aiyegunle (Ekiti),Olusin of Ijara – Isin (Isin), Elesie of Esie (Irepodun), Oba Jisunmade of Ayedun (Oke – Ero).
